It's official...the Developmental Asset Approach is coming to the Town of Beaumont. Here is poster, you might see around town inviting everyone who has either a connection or an interest in youth to come out and hear about this new approach to community development and preparing our young people to succeed within our community.
Developmental Assets have been identified by a group at the Search Institute. This institute has identified the following building blocks of healthy development that help young people grow up healthy, caring, and responsible. These building blocks are called 40 Developmental Assets. One of the greatest things about these assets is the fact that anyone who has care or concern about young people can help develop them within a community. Seriously, we all can make a difference in somone's life. Personally, I think this is pretty exciting stuff.
